Who we are

Ethical Breeding has been created by Debbie Connolly, a leading UK behaviourist with the help of several volunteers.  We feel there is much confusion about what makes a good breeder as even some Breed Clubs disagree with each other. 

There has never been one, independent place that you can go to see a list of those people doing it right.  As we don't breed or show, we have no politics or personal relationships to satisfy.  All we want is somewhere that the public can come to and find their next safe family pet.

SafePets UK is Debbie's behaviour company and we see a lot of pets with problems from puppy farms, irresponsible and back yard breeders.  It may be caused by being sold too early, parents with temperament issues, health problems or no social learning.  Whatever the reasons, those breeders don't care whether your pet dies early, lives a pain filled life or hurts you.  Don't give them your money.

We charge a small joining fee to breeders, we do not receive any further payment from them.  A complaints procedure will be followed should there be a dispute.
